A Letter From Our Founder

On direction, character, and why I built North & Noble.

For more than 12 years, I have led increasingly complex organizations across diverse industries, partnering with executive leadership, corporate partners, government agencies, and communities to accelerate growth, strengthen organizations, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Along the way, I’ve watched companies with talented people, real capital, and ambitious goals stall out anyway. And I’ve watched leaner, less resourced teams outperform them, simply because they knew exactly where they were going and why.

That gap is what North & Noble exists to close.

I named the firm deliberately, because I wanted it to mean something beyond a logo.

North is a point of reference. Before modern navigation, travelers looked to the North Star not because it moved them forward, but because it gave them something fixed to navigate by. It didn't do the walking. It gave the walker direction.

I think leadership works the same way. Most organizations I’ve worked with aren’t short on effort, they’re short on alignment. Where are we actually going? What are we building, and for whom? Do our people, our processes, and our daily decisions actually point the same direction as our stated goals? When I sit down with a leadership team for the first time, those are the questions I’m listening for the answers to, because usually the real problem isn’t the one on the table.

Noble is the other half, and it's the half I won't compromise on: character.

My leadership philosophy is rooted in servant leadership, accountability, and continuous improvement. I believe exceptional organizations are built by leaders who establish a clear vision, develop future leaders, and create a culture where accountability and innovation coexist. I value data, operational discipline, and measurable results, but I believe sustainable growth is ultimately driven by people. Investing in talent, empowering teams, and fostering leadership at every level has been a defining principle throughout my career, and it’s the same principle I bring into every organization I advise.

Together, those two ideas are our promise: Leadership. Direction. Character.

Throughout my career, I have been driven by opportunities to help businesses grow, scale revenue, and build the teams and systems needed to sustain that growth. Marketing has always been the catalyst, but my focus has consistently been broader: aligning strategy, operations, technology, and talent to create organizations capable of delivering measurable, long term business performance.

That’s what I built North & Noble to do. I don’t come into an engagement to hand a leadership team a slide deck and a bill. I come in to do the harder, more honest work: diagnosing what’s actually holding an organization back, building a plan specific enough to execute, and staying close enough through implementation that it actually gets done.

My goal was never to make organizations dependent on outside advisors. It’s the opposite. I want to leave every organization I work with stronger, clearer, and more capable of leading itself, long after our engagement ends.

That’s the standard I hold myself to, and it’s the reason North & Noble exists.
